UAV Neutralizer

UAV Detection and Neutralization for Infrastructure Protection

Research & Innovation Foundation Project

UAV Detection and Neutralization for Infrastructure Protection

The UAVNeutralizer project aims to create an innovative, intelligent system capable of detecting and neutralizing malicious UAVs, to ensure the protection of critical infrastructures. Our vision is to develop a centralized detection mechanism that can control a network of sensors and transmitters, for effective tracking and neutralization of multiple airborne threats.

The system under development will harness the power of distributed sensing mechanisms, including radar and SIGINT. It will be able to detect, localize and neutralize UAVs through high power Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR), emitted from strategically positioned transmitters. This coordinated network of sensors and transmitters will form a protective perimeter around the critical infrastructure, enhancing the overall security apparatus.

The UAVNeutralizer project is being driven by a consortium of diverse and competent entities within the Cyprus R&I ecosystem:
• SMEs: NovaMechanics Ltd, RF and Microwave Solutions Ltd, and Fractal Network Ltd
• Open University of Cyprus – a public university
• Frederic Research Centre – a private research center
